- Eva Kolacz was
born and raised in Poland. She took up residency in
Canada in 1981. She is a graduate of the Ontario College
of Art & Design and a member of the Ontario Society
of Artists. Eva's influences in her painting come from
her experiences in the theatre and writing poetry. Her
paintings are the vehicles for exploration, depicting
ideas and emotions that could come from a phrase of music
or a line of poetry. James McNeil Whistler once said '"as
music is poetry of sound, so is painting the poetry of
sight." Eva has exhibited in public and private galleries
in Canada, USA, Japan and Europe.
