- Clancy Gibson
was born in North Vancouver in 1950. He studied at
Capilano College and Emily Carr School of Art in
Vancouver, Canada. Clancy moved to Toronto in 1979 and
focussed on a successful career as a commercial artist.
His work for magazines and corporate campaigns has been
published internationally. He has won numerous awards
from Art Directors Clubs of Vancouver, Toronto and New
York. Clancy returned to his hometown of Vancouver in
1993, where he still continues his commercial work.
Inspiraton for his painting has always been the
landscape, and his west coast environs of the water and
plantlife are reflected in his work. Gibson has exhibited
in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Vancouver and
Toronto.
