Buri was born and educated in the South of Germany. She
graduated a two year college program, where she majored
in Social Education and Painting Therapy. Christa moved
to Berlin to teach Painting Therapy at the Rudolf Steiner
Institution. While living in Berlin, Christa continued
her study of the arts, specifically art history,
painting, dance and languages. Christa moved to Portugal
in 1983, where she started and ran a very successful cafe
tea-room. She continued her painting and had many art
exhibits in Portugal. Since moving back to Berlin in the
early 1990's, Christa has continued her work in the
artworld by managing an art gallery and co-ordinating
exhibitions. Christa has had numerous solo and group
exhibitions in Berlin. Her artwork is held in both
private and corporate collections in Europe. For
inspiration Christa regularly travels to Portugal and
South America.
